The home of ‘Madeiratherapy’ is on the beautiful island of Madeira, known also as the Pearl of the Atlantic and the Floating Garden, the perfect location for relaxing and revitalizing and to learn new therapy techniques.

Madeira is one of the autonomous regions of Portugal and belongs to the E.U. An Archipelago with volcanic origins, it lies about 360 miles (580 km) from the coast of West Africa, 230 miles (370 km) north of Gran Canaria, and 535 miles (861 km) from Lisbon, but don’t worry the the most recent volcanic eruptions were on the west-central part of the island about 6,500 years ago.

Madeira Island's geographical position and stunning mountainous landscape result in a very pleasant oceanic subtropical climate which varies between the north and south. Its low rain level, moderate year round temperatures and sea water temperature that varies between 26 °C during the summer and 17 °C in the winter, make it an ideal all year round destination for those wishing to unwind and get away from the stresses and strains of everyday life and escape from colder climes.

Our therapy centre is situated in Arco da Calheta on the south west of the island. 500 metres above sea level, it is in a peaceful location with spectacular panoramic views over the Atlantic ocean and surrounding countryside.
